Heather Treadway loves a good story…what’s yours? Her background in literature, arts and government has shown her the power of story, imagination, and creativity to build community, shape public service, and bring hope to seemingly hopeless situations. She loves to connect people and ideas and create platforms to try something new. She believes in the power of art and imagination to change the world, and dreams of seeing Dream Chicago become a national movement that channels the power of hope, community and creativity to transform lives. One dream, one dreamer, one city at a time. 

When she’s not scribbling her next book or song on sticky notes, she’s dreaming up and launching new Dream Chicago projects with Natalie, making art with friends, and connecting artists who are living their dreams with those who are just beginning their dream journeys.

Natalie Johnson
Program Coordinator

Natalie Johnson loves to creatively collaborate with all people. Her background in visual arts helps create a platform to experiment with many different mixed mediums like painting, printmaking, sculpting clay, collaging and papermaking. She is always open to trying new forms of art. However, Natalie’s favorite art form is community. She believes there is power and healing in art. The process of art making with others is more important to her than the finished product. She dreams to make art accessible to all and that it is used as a primary form of healing.
